Riga: Photoshoot on Old Large Format Camera
You are welcome to visit my studio and experience the magic of real photography - you'll have a picure on your chosen media with your chosen historical camera, and if you choose to enter digital realm you can have a scaned digital file. If you don't want to choose anything I will take a picture with the equipment that I prefer on that day. Usually that would be silver gelatin paper, sometimes threre is an option of dry plate tintypes or glass (similar to wet plate tintype and amberotype process, but using gelatin instead of collodion).
I work with analog photo for more than 20 years and after doing lot of work with my digital equipment and thousands of digital pictures I have regained my passion for chemical photo processes, slowing down, concentrating on each frame, enjoying the slow pace and the somewhat unpredictable results. I am offering this photoshoot as an experiment for you and myself to figure out how far in historical processes I would like to delve in.
You are welcome to join this photographic journey and in some sense lottery - you never know what exactly comes out. There's a significant probability that you'll be amazed.
Authentic and unique photo session for the brave ones who want to experience the photographic processes of 19th and 20th century, no AI and Photoshop - just beautiful light and interesting faces.
A portrait on large format silver gelatine paper negative (9x12cm or 13x18cm/5x7in) for each participant and the group together. Those who will come alone will have at least two portraits.
